Shel: We went to the Arctic Circle! It was a long day, 16-1/2 hours on the tour bus. Road was rough at times but it was better than taking the truck up. We also now have reservations at Denali National Park. Met some people that had just gone up around Chicken and Dawson City and said it was fine, but slow going. Geni: It was a really long way to go for a photo op!! I was expecting a walk on the snow encrusted earth, so silly, as it is summertime and warm. Met some nice people on the bus, however, strictly a tourist trap. But, now I can say I was at the arctic circle at any cocktail parties I go to - rare to none! |
