Sheldon and Geni's 2018 Trip to Alaska

We woke up in: Eagle River, AK We're going to sleep in: Seward, AK
Shel: We went into Anchorage and took a one hour tour of the city. I decided that we really needed 2 batteries for dry camping, so today we went around Anchorage picking up the parts to put them in. Afterwards we headed out of town toward the Kenai pennisula. We wound up in Seward, in a campground right on Resurrection Bay.

This engine is equipped with a Moose Gooser in the front, to convince the moose to get off the tracks

This is an entranceway to a home built underground. It is chaper to heat and cool when under ground.

This is Earthquake Park. The land here ripples just as it was left after the 1964 earthquake.

We had lots of rain and wind. This was taken in Turnagin Arm which is really beautiful when the sun is out and the tide is in. The mud in the mud flats is made up of silt and if you walk out on them, they can act like quicksand .
