| We woke up in: | Clinton, BC | We're going to sleep in: | Surrey, BC |
Shel: Tonight we are in Surrey, which is a suburb of Vancouver. The Trans Canada highway goes through a winding hilly gorge on it's way west - sure was fun. Got to the campground and set up the camper, except I noticed that a tire was worn badly. Upon investigation, the rear spring perch on the right side broke. Must be from all the smooth roads we were on. I have an appointment to have it fixed on Thursday. Will need 4 new tires also. Kinda put a damper on the day. Geni: Yesterday and today both had towns at some distance from each other, but when we did reach the towns, unlike Alaska, they were real cities. And both days the lakes were so plentiful and large. Although the mountains aren't Alaska, their formations are still a sight to see. We still had roads that were climbing mountains with descending cliffs and gorges along the sides and no guard rails. Got to suburb on Vancouver today and Roland and Rachel went east to head home. Got the bad news about the camper which brought our fun to an abrupt end! We are thankful none of this happened in remote Alaska, but it's a major problem. But, unfortunately we seem to get ourselves into some major mess sometime along our trips. |

Beautiful lake, mountains and road alongside |
|Train tunnel inside the mountain and along the water. |
Just thought this was a beautiful |
Saw lots of trucks carrying logs, but also loved the different colors in the mountains |
The two peices of metal hanging down have broken off and allowed the axles to shift, wearing out the tires. |
