We woke up in: | Pink Mountain, BC | We're going to sleep in: | Liard River, BC |
Shel: We did just over 300 miles today, I led and did not get us lost! Not much construction today. The road has gotten narrower and has more hills. Gas prices have definitely risen, first fillup today was at $4.95 ( adjusted to US gallon price and size). The second fill-up really got my goat, it was $1.959 per liter, but if you were staying there, you got a $0.20 cent discount. Without the discount, it came to US equivalent of $5.70 per gallon. The campground we went to had one site with electric and one without, so Roland just plugged his camper into mine and we both had electric Geni: Last night's campground wasn't so great. It had rained before we got there and it was a muddy mess. But we just slept there and were on our way. Still managed to see some great scenery even though much of it was just trees. We also got to see some animals hanging around the roadsides. It's always funny to think how silly it is for people to stop in their tracks and take pictures of animals. Of course its because it is rare to see them in their own habitat, but it really is funny to watch it happen. However, the animals don't seem phased by it at all. We stayed in a lovely campground near a hot springs pool, which we all enjoyed. (well, maybe Shel didn't enjoy, but he did try it!) |
An ad said best cinnamon buns around, so we had to stop. Love the bench though. |
Elk or some animal near roadside. Love this picture |
Just a beautiful roadside pic |
