Shel: Here comes the sun!!! Got a relatively late start, but went to the beginning of Skyline Drive and started south. Stopped at the visitors center and got a load of suggestions for hikes. One of the hikes started just across the street so we went on it. But didn't get all the signs right so took the wrong trail and ended up 2.4 miles on a hike to Snead Farm. Then stopped at a bunch of overlooks to see beautiful scenery. Decided to take another hike, this one at Stony Man and did another 1.8 miles. Stoney Man had a great view at the top. On our way out we decided maybe we had enough of this drive and will just head to our next stop tomorrow.

Geni: Woke up to a noise coming from the camper window. I was afraid it was an animal inside the camper, but I think it was a bird pecking at the window. It was a meaningful sign! I wanted the day to be one of reflection, and hiking and enjoying the beautiful views did that for me. The sun came out mid morning and it was such a great feeling. Although not busy like summertime, there were still people coming to the National Park. Along our two hikes, we talked to some lovely people. It was a really nice day.
