Geni woke up early and went for a walk with Michele and a frend. I decided to catch a cold and didn't sleep well so today was an off day. We went out and filled a propane tank, watched some TV and went for ice cream.

Geni: I woke up early and finally was able to join Michele and her neighbor for a walk in the mountains. We have a bike path, they have mountain trails. I also had to prove to myself that I wouldn't run into a rattlesnake. They pointed out various views, streams and plants as we walked and told me that rattlesnakes rarely appear and don't bother you unless you bother them. They also said that the snakes that do stretch out on the paths don't move, in fear of you, and are beneficial by eating lots of pests. Although both comments were reassuring, I still was glad we did not see any snakes.
