| FInished our trip from Santa Fe. Arrived in Branson today. Very nice location for a campground. Sites may be a little small, but there is actually a free trolly to go into town. Geni also got us tickets to a show tomorrow evening Geni: It downpoured most of the trip from Oklahoma to Missouri. The skies were amazing, but the driving was difficult at times. Driving through Oklahoma the land changed to rolling green hills and plains with lots of nothing, cattle ranging and occasional groupings of homes. It stopped raining when we drove into Missouri. Altogether we drove 7 hours. The road to Bransom was long and had quite a few hills to get to before we finally arrived. It was not what I expected. I thought it would be like a Las Vegas, with all the hotels/shows in a row. It appears that they are spread out. We walked around a historic/tourist area today and tomorrow we'll do more exploring. The site is so lovely. We are by a river and there is a nice walkway along the river, which we enjoyed walking. |
