Today is a travel day, but waking up at 5 in the morning was not in our plans. It seems there was a half marathon (13 miles) planned for today! With the start of the festivities starting in the dark. Geni got up and took some pictures of all the people down on the siewalk and road. We had to meet the airport bus in an alternate location as they couldn't get to our hotel :)

Nice flight to Kuau'i, but it is the first time I've ever been on a Boeing 717 - it had about 28 rows of 2 and 3 seating. Off to our rented condo in Kaloa - which I guess is a section of Poipu. They rely upon the trade winds for cooling - not quite to my liking, I would have prefered A/C :(

Geni: I woke up to a loud noise around 4 AM and when I looked out the window, I saw all the people in the street. A marathon event right outside the hotel. It took more time to get to the airport and to the plane than the flight itself. Our condo in Kaua'i was very nice, however, there was no view of the water. There was a mall across the street, Poipu shopping plaza, where there were some nice restaurants and a few shops. Kuau'i is beautiful. Not very developed, so lots of greenery and less traffic.
