Sheldon and Geni's 2010 Camping Trip
Today is: September 13
We are in: Iowa

We were up and ready to gas up by 7:30. We travelled through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and will stop in Iowa for the night. Driving not bad -- but a couple of spots were tricky -- Gary, Indiana, esp. had road work and slow(er) traffic. But we are making great time -- over 560 miles today. Weather warm and beautiful.

We detoured at the RV Hall of Fame where we saw lots of antique RV's including one that looked like a covered wagon, which now that you think about it, was probably the first RV ever!!

My biggest challenge, so far, is trying to judge where the "welcome to the state" signs might be posted and try to get a clear shot of each one. Didn't think of it until PA and missed that one -- didn't see a sign for Ohio -- but back on track and nailing the rest!!

Tired of listening to the same old songs and keep forgetting to get the CD's out of the camper, so found a Broadway Play station on sirrius radio and enjoying the songs we know!!

Looking for another "low rent" parking lot to spend the night since we got such a good night's sleep last night. Shel realized we are in a different time zone, so that means we will have to readjust our sleeping pattern!!
