Sheldon and Geni's 2010 Camping Trip
Today is: September 20
We are in: Grand Teton National Park - Colter Bay, Wyoming

We did a lot of chasing this morning! We got up early to rush to the marina to watch the sun rise on the mountains. It was beautiful the way the sunlight crossed the mountains and exploded over the clouds. Then we drove around the park loop, stopping at various places that were "must sees". The must sees explained that we would probably see bison or elk or even a bear walk near the road. We saw beautiful views, but we never saw wild life at any of those places. As we travelled the loop, we did see people acting ridiculously - stopping their cars and running to where others were gathering to take a picture of whatever wild life someone claimed to see in the bushes -- very few people really saw anything. We also became part of those crazy people. I think we did it because we never saw any of the expected wildlife in all the places they were supposed to be, so we were desparate. We did get to talk to some nice people though and occasionally we did get lucky (see photos below).

We continued to see great views wherever we went and just cannot get over the beauty of the mountains and surrounding area.

Shel's Comments: Well, there always has to be something... Ran the generator for an hour with the camper plugged in and an extra battery charger plugged in also. The battery was at 2 lights when I started and two lights when the charging was done. An hour later it was down to one light and seems damn near dead. So it was either the water pump not shutting off properly (a problem that comes and goes) or the battery charger was questionable. So the heat is turned down low to conserve what battery we have and we'll worry about it in the morning.
