Today started out as a whirlwind. We were eating breakfast outside. Our neighbors next to us were getting ready to leave. They are from Australia and the wife was quite talkative. Even though they speak English, it is definitely a different language. The part that I could follow was that they combined families, have 6 grandchildren, live in the outback much distance from neighbors, won a trip to U.S. At the same time, the neighbors behind us from Germany and the ones next to us, who were Dutch came over to say hello and goodby. They were all giving us unused food and/or cleaning supplies because they couldn't take them back with them. Also, a guy came over to say he had turned the water off from our leaking camper last night. About 2 hours later, I got back inside the camper. Shel got some advice as to where to buy the parts he needed to fix the camper, so was off for part of those two hours. He found all the parts that he needed and fixed it all in about an hour . We took the shuttle to Old Las Vegas and saw some of the very first hotels and casinos -- Tony Romas, Fremont, California, Golden Nugget. They have an enclosed area where they have shops and kiosks. We also played some slot machines. There are simply too many buttons to figure out how to play. There are too many lines and buttons to hit and even when you think you won because you have some of the same pictures, you don't win because it was on the wrong line. I just hit the buttons until it says I have no more credit. I like the simple ones with the handle and the three across only one line and the money tinkling out when you win. It really isn't much fun now -- in my opinion!! We had dinner with Andy and Kristopher in a really nice restaurant in a more suburban part of Las Vegas. It was great to see them. We decided to stay one more day in Las Vegas and hang around.
