We got up, got the camper ready and hauled out to San Diego.We were stopped in California for an agricultural inspection - they want to make sure we were`t bringing any gypsy moths into the state.

The song says it never rains in California - well they lie - it rained as we got into SD. Got all set up in the campground and am taking a night off!

geni: Last night in Las Vegas I saw at least 3 different women in their wedding gowns. One looked like it was a destination wedding -- she was in a white dress with a red petticoat sticking out of the bottom and her attendant was wearing a red polka dot long dress with a white petticoat. I think it was legit(rather than part of some play) because there were alot of people going into a restaurant together. I saw another girl in a white long dress and a tiara eating dinner with a guy in a suit in a cafe in the lobby of The Venetian. I saw them later and asked her if she really got married and she said, "yes, ma'am, I got married today." She was taking a photo of her husband, so I asked if anyone had taken a picture of the two of you together and she said, "yes, ma'am!!" It was both sad and lovely that the two of them ran off alone to Las Vegas to get married!!

When we were stopped for at an inspection point, the woman said, "did you really come all the way from Massachusetts?", I thought she would say wow!! Instead, she told us to pull up because our camper needed to be inspected. It only took about 10 minutes in all.

We have told so many people along the way that our destination is San Diego, and, we finally got here!! But, it is raining in southern california, much to everyone's surprise here!! It was our travelling day, so we didn't get here until 5 -- we will just relax tonight and see Barbara and Fernando tomorrow and Cheryl on saturday.
