| Today is: | September 10 | ||
| We woke up in: | Olympic NP | We're going to sleep in: | Mount Rainier NP |
|
Shel: We had a relatively uneventful trip from Okympic National Park to Mount Rainier National Park. Got here and the top of the mountain was stuck in the clouds. We were a little low on gas so decided to go into town to get gas. Town is 28 miles away and 3000' lower in elevation! Geni: These parks are getting larger with miles to go from place to place. We drove up the mountain to get to the campsite, down the mountain to get gas, up a different side to drive up to the highest visitor's center, and looped through mountian roads to get to other sites. Shel drove from Olympic National Park to here -- we got here around 12:30 - ate lunch and then took off and didn't get back to almost 8 p.m. He amazes me that he just keeps trucking along - he drove over 300 miles all together. |
