We went to Carlsbad Cavern today, First we did the big room loop and then went on a tour of the King's Palace. This is truly a remarkable place. Geni toured the gift shop several times :) The KOA campground we're staying at advertised that they had meals they prepared with meat they smoked. So of course that's what we had for dinner. Great meal and very nice campground. Tomorrow we start our trek towards home, expect it to take 5 days. Probably no photos.

Geni: Wow! Wasn't expecting such a beautiful place. It has the biggest cave room in the United States. Each turn was more striking than the last and the pictures do not do it justice. Went on a tour in the afternoon that was added, or else we would have been just as happy with the self-guided tour that we took in the morning. However, listening to the young (in this case female) ranger is always so informative as they discuss the history and formation of the caves.
