Sheldon and Geni's 2019 out west
Today is: September 10 (35960)
We woke up in: Chatfield State Pahk, Co We're going to sleep in: Chatfield State Pahk, Co

An easy day: 60 miles! We started out going to a botanical garden, but it is a little too late in the year and not much was blooming. Then went to check out some RV parts at two places, I tried to skip the heavy traffic on the interstates and tried to stay to local roads, but the GPS kept arguing with me. Then we went out for a lovely dinner for my birthday - yes, a day early. Tomorrow we are going to head up into the Rocky's and will try to spend a day or so in Vail. We'll see if we can find a campsite.

Geni: A mostly hanging around camping day! The Botanical Garden was close by so we stopped even though it's past season, and so we were not disappointed when we walked around and there was nothing to see! Since I don't know where we'll be tomorrow I decided to take Shel out for his birthday for a steak dinner. I found this place Smokin Fins that sounded great. When we got there, I discovered it was a fish place (interestingly, Shel had thought it was a fish place but never mentioned it). I was focusing on the "Smokin" part of the name! He got delicious calamari and bread pudding for dessert, so his shrimp scampi meal was good enough! Guess I still owe him a steak dinner. . . sometime!
