Sheldon and Geni's 2019 out west
Today is: September 19 (37306)
We woke up in: Carson City, NV We're going to sleep in: Carson City, NV

Got up and talked about what to do, go on a boat tour or just tour around in better weather than yesterday. Touring won and we went around the lake again. We headed over to Emerald bay to get some photos while it was partly cloudy. Then stopped at D.L. Bliss State park and checked out the balancing rock and went down the Rubicon trail a little. The next state park we went into was Sugarpines which had a nice house and grounds. There we saw the sign that the water was too cold to swim but we ran into a 78 year old man that did triathalons and had just gone for a swim in the lake. Then on to a great meal at Gar Woods - not cheap, but great food. One last stop at Sand Harbor State Park and checked out a nature walk and beaches. If it means anything, we drove through Incline Village where the Olympics were held once.

Geni: Weather was to be cold with possible rain, so we opted out for the boat ride and went around the lake again. Stopped in a few state parks and walked around. After season, so they are working on the roads and we had to wait 1/2 hour at one spot before we could move. Weather was so unpredictable, rained, a little sleet, and also sunshine poking from the clouds. We ate at a recommended restaurant Gar Woods which overlooks the lake. Food was great!! Tomorrow we get camper fixed and move on to Yosemite!

This is an iconic photo for Lake Tahoe (it was on pamphlets!)

Looks like a Puffin, but is the balancing rock!
