We finally made it to Yosemite! Got up early and left for the park at 6:15 so we could get a parking spot. We went through Tioga pass which tops out at about 9800'. Some of the roads were a little scary as there were no guard rails and it fell off rather steeply. Going on a weekend wasn't great due to the crowd but we managed. This seems to be more of a hikers park as there are lots of trails. We were unable to get on the open-air tour bus as all tickets were gone. We did hike out to the Lower Yosemite Falls. We also went up to Glacier Point where you are over 3000' feet above Yosemite Valley.

Geni: Made it to Yosemite! It really is a hiker's paradise. So many trails and so many people hiking. The road up and back was long and scary and lots of times the cliffs by the road were really steep. You just pray the driver is healthy and responsible (which he was!) Luck ran out for us regarding taking the tour and it was sold out. Since we didn't know what day we would get there, so couldn't reserve tickets. But we walked around and also took an additional hour ride (more time added due to traffic) to Glacier Point.
